What Is Maximum Offer?

Maximum offer is a system used in online auctions to help bidders avoid paying more than necessary.

When you place a bid, you can enter the maximum amount you are willing to spend. The system will then automatically bid on your behalf, only when needed.

A Simple Example

• Starting price of the coin: €100
• Your maximum offer amount: €150

The system:

• does not immediately show €150
• increases the bid only when another bidder participates
• never goes above your limit

If no one else bids, you might win the coin for €100.
